Mother Teresa Bhawan, a Mass Centre-cum-Residence of the Syro- Malabar Priest procured by the Syro Malabar faithful in March 2011 at Gautam Nagar, New Delhi, under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Jose Edasserry and Rev. Fr. Stephen Palatty was consecrated by Bishop Franco Mulakkal, Vicar of the Oriental Churches and Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Delhi on 11th May 2011. It became an independent Parish - Mother Teresa Parish, South Extension, - with the erection of the Diocese of Faridabad by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI on 06th March 2012. Formal declaration of erection of Mother Teresa Parish was made by Archbishop Mar Kuriakose Bharanikulangara, the first Bishop of Diocese of Faridabad, during his maiden Pastoral Visit to this Parish on 03rd March 2013. Thus, by the grace of God, a dream which was cherished by the Syro-Malabar faithful in this area of South Delhi became a reality.
